Your Guide to the 12 Days of Aspen
Between a bustling downtown, world-class skiing and snowboard right outside your doorstep, and an abundance of things to do and events happening over the holidays, it’s tough to beat Aspen as a top destination to spend your Christmas and New Years.
While officially the 12 days of Aspen occurs December 20 to December 31, we're adding in an extra day for December 19 happenings. Here are our favorite holiday events in Aspen!
Aspen Holiday Events
Tuesday, December 19th
The 26th Annual Aspen Film Academy Screenings begin December 19th, and will end on December 30th. All the movies will be the ‘talk of the town’ during the Holiday’s, and it is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening with your loved one. For more information, please visit www.aspenfilm.org
Wednesday, December 20th
Holiday Gift Making will be held at the St. Regis from 3:30 - 4:30pm. Children gather together and create a very special gift for their parents and other loved ones. For more information, please visit www.stregisaspen.com
Thursday, December 21st
Enjoy a ride on Santa’s sleigh with Santa on Thursday, December 21st through the streets of Winter Wonderland in Downtown Aspen, from 3 – 5:30pm. If you are not able to make it on December 21st, you may sign up for a ride with Mrs. Claus on Friday, December 22nd from 3 – 5:30pm. For more information, please visit www.stregisaspen.com
Friday, December 22nd
This is a fun-filled day for all the children in the Aspen/Snowmass area! Start off decorating cookies and visiting Santa Claus from 1 – 3:30pm at the Hotel Jerome, followed by decorating your own Holiday Stocking at the St. Regis at 3:30pm and 4:30pm. Saturday, December 23rd
Grab the kids and get your tickets for A Charlie Brown Christmas LIVE on Stage! This is a perfect event to come together during the holidays, as a family. There are two performances at the Wheeler Opera House at 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Please visit www.wheeleroperahouse.com for more information.
Sunday, December 24th
It is now time to celebrate Christmas Eve, and there are plenty of Christmas Services at the Aspen Chapel to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule. Please visit www.aspenchapel.org

Monday, December 25th

Tuesday, December 26th
When the lifts are about to close, stop by Hallam Lake for ACES Apres right in the middle of downtown. There will be lots of fun activities, including snowshoe tours, crafts for kids, hot drinks, wine, snacks, and much more! Wednesday, December 27th

Thursday, December 28th

Saturday, December 30th
The Audi AJAX Cup will be held right at the base of Aspen Mountain on Little Nell’s run, from 9am-6pm. Teams of 6 will be competing against one and another, and will be awarded the Gorsuch Cup. Hurry and reserve a seat as soon as possible because it will fill up fast!
